Philip Fougerousse
Philip Fougerousse is a three-time graduate of Indiana University, with a BS degree in business administration, an MBA degree in accounting, and a JD in law. He is licensed in Florida, Alabama, and Indiana.
Before moving to Florida in 1982, he acquired five years of experience as Corporate Counsel for a financial institution in Indianapolis, Indiana, along with three years experience as State Title Counsel for a national title insurance company in Birmingham, Alabama. He was a sole law practitioner in Melbourne, Florida, for eleven years, specializing in family law matters and real estate law.
He was then elected in 1994 to the County Court bench. He served four years and an additional year as a senior judge, gaining experience presiding over complicated family law and criminal law cases. Additionally, at the Conference of County Court Judges, he was a faculty presenter and was active on the education committee of the conference.
Upon leaving the bench, Mr. Fougerousse spent the following four years in alternative dispute resolution through the Fraxedas Mediation Firm headquartered in Maitland, Florida. He then reopened his current full service family law and real estate legal practice.
Phil has been an adjunct professor for both the University of Central Florida and the University of Indianapolis and is past Chairman of the Board of Easter Seals Society of East Central Florida. He also served as Vice President of Operations & Programs of Very Special Arts of Florida. He has a wife and young son and daughter, two cats and an African Grey parrot. |
